May 1 – 2, 2008

Save the date & book your hotel rooms before 3/31/08.

The Northeast Regional Annual Conference is planned for all day Thursday and half day Friday, May 1 & 2, 2008 in historic seaside downtown of Portsmouth, NH at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel. This year’s event is being organized and planned by the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA). We look forward to bringing together the northeast regions to discuss best practices, hot topics, and new trends that affect CDBG, HOME and Emergency Shelter Grants.

Click to download the draft agenda that was developed based on the feedback we received from you! We have been able to secure fantastic speakers who will make each session interactive and engaging, so participants will leave energized and motivated to continue their great work! You will notice this conference also includes a scenic sunset dinner cruise on Thursday, May 1, which is partially sponsored by the Maine Community Development Association. Registration fee for this conference is $125 per person and includes breakfast and snacks on both days, as well as the dinner on May 1st.

A finalized agenda with conference registration will be emailed to you within the next couple of weeks, in the mean time, you may want to book your hotel rooms now, as the special room rate ends on Monday, March 31. Room rates for a single or double are $159 per night, not including taxes. Click here to make your room reservation and to learn more about the hotel and its location.

Maine has offered to bring a basket of goodies made or produced in their state as a raffle prize. We thought this was such a great idea, that we are asking for other states to do the same. This is a great way to showcase some of the unique items from each state. If you are willing and able to provide a basket of your states goodies, please let us know by emailing Wendy Gilman at wgilman@nhcdfa.org.

COSCDA will offer two HOME Technical Assistance Trainings at the Conference, which will run all day April 30th and half day on May 1st. Please see the COSCDA website for more information.

We look forward to seeing you in a couple of months!
